Super 200s Fil-à-Fil
This is the iconic formal-shirt blue — clean, cool, slightly soft. Not a colour you notice. A colour that quietly belongs at every important table.
The fil-à-fil weave alternates two slightly different blue threads in fine vertical lines, creating a tonal texture the eye reads as a softly luminous fabric rather than as a stripe. Hold it close, and you'll see the play. Walk past it, and it reads as solid.
Super 200s refers to the fineness of the cotton thread — roughly twice the fineness of standard premium shirting (Super 100s). 2-Ply means two of these threads are twisted together for every strand woven into the cloth. Higher tensile strength, deeper colour, longer life. Sourced from Celesto, an Italian mill that produces this fabric in seasonal batches. Every Ciel shirt is fully handstitched in our workshop — 14+ hours of pure handwork.
