Bonaventure
A fully handstitched full-brogue wingtip oxford in three textures of Vanta Black calf. A smooth polished wingtip toe cap and heel counter frame Vanta Black suede quarters, with a croco-embossed apron rising through the throat. Cherry-red calfskin lined, with a fine chartreuse topline piping. Cut, lasted, and stitched by hand at our atelier.
The Three Textures & the Neva 401
The Bonaventure rests on the Neva 401 last — a sharp Italian dress last with an elongated almond toe and a fine waist. It is a five-eyelet closed-throat oxford with a full-brogue wingtip — the same architecture as the Friedel — but built from three materials of the same colour. All black, but never flat.
The wingtip toe cap and heel counter are cut from smooth hand-polished Vanta Black calf, burnished under wax to a wet-shine finish. The quarters, sitting between the toe cap and the heel, are cut from Vanta Black suede — brushed to a soft nap that reads matte against the polished panels. And rising through the throat behind the lacing, an apron of croco-embossed Vanta Black calf brings a third texture: dense hand-pressed scale rows, glossy but dimensional. Where each material meets the next, a scalloped W-shaped seam is decorated with dense hand-punched brogue perforations along both edges.
Inside, the shoe is fully lined in vivid cherry-red calfskin — a signature flash of colour visible at the mouth. A fine chartreuse edge is painted along the topline, catching the light when the shoe moves. Goodyear-welted onto a hand-burnished natural leather sole with a dark walnut edge and cream twisted-thread stitching along the welt.
