A fully handstitched cap-toe oxford in hand-burnished Sandstone Tan calf. A single line of fine brogue perforations traces the cap-toe seam and the curved quarter edge — the classic quarter-brogue oxford, restrained and formal. Warm caramel-tan calfskin lined. Cut, lasted, and stitched by hand at our atelier.
The Quarter Brogue & the Trinity 3
The Orsay rests on the Trinity 3 last — a French dress last with a long almond toe, a slightly closed instep, and a fine waist that cuts close to the arch. It is a five-eyelet cap-toe oxford, closed-throat — the classic city oxford. Quarters sewn under the vamp, no gap at the throat when laced. The most formal shape in the shoe range.
The signature is quiet. A single line of fine hand-punched brogue perforations traces the seam where the cap-toe joins the vamp, and a second matching line runs along the curved quarter edge behind the lacing. No wingtip, no medallion, no contrast leather. The perforations are shallow and evenly spaced — a decorative border rather than a statement — on the softest side of quarter-brogue tradition.
The upper is a single piece of hand-burnished Sandstone Tan calf, deeply patinated at the counter and toe periphery and lifted lighter across the vamp under wax. Lined throughout in warm caramel-tan calfskin. Goodyear-welted onto a hand-burnished natural leather sole with a walnut edge and cream twisted-thread stitching along the welt.
