Vendome
A fully handstitched single monk in deep hand-burnished Sandstone Tan calfskin — the most classical monk in our range. A straight cap-toe seam runs across the front of the vamp with dense quarter-brogue perforations along the seam edge and a small medallion on the toe cap. A large antique-brass buckle closes the strap. Warm tan lined. Cut, lasted, and stitched by hand at our atelier.
The Sandstone Tan Patina & the Trinity 11085
The Vendome rests on the Trinity 11085 last — a long, closed Italian dress last with an elongated almond toe and a fine waist. It is a single-monk-strap cap-toe cut from a single piece of hand-patinated calfskin — the most classical and restrained monk in our range. No wingtip drama, no colour blocking. A straight cap-toe seam runs across the front of the vamp with dense hand-punched quarter-brogue perforations along the seam edge and a small medallion of concentric holes on the toe cap.
The Sandstone Tan patina is built up in successive hand-applied glazes — warm saddle-tan across the vamp, deepened toward mahogany-cognac at the counter, toe, and burnished edges, sealed under wax for a glowing dimensional shine. Across the throat, a single leather strap crosses on the diagonal and closes with a large warm antique-brass rectangular buckle — warmer than the polished silver on our other monks, matched to the deep mature tan of the upper.
The interior is fully lined in warm natural tan calfskin — a stealth warm-neutral interior that matches the exterior tone, not the bright cherry-red flash of our other monks. Goodyear-welted onto a hand-burnished walnut-edge leather sole with cream twisted-thread stitching along the welt.
